As I mentioned, skinny jeans have now become a staple; rather than being the popular jeans, they have taken a back seat. When we think of fashionable jeans, we think of flares, boyfriend jeans, dad jeans, and mom jeans. Any pants that aren’t tight or skinny. It has been slowly happening over the past few seasons, and I’m sure you’re aware of it, but since it’s at its peak, I had to do a blog post about it.
Every brand is producing baggy jeans and moving away from skinny jeans. I’m not saying skinny jeans are redundant; they are still tucked into boots and used with casual wear like a pair of Converse and a sweater. But what’s the difference here? Skinny jeans are now essential and so classic that they are no longer used with trendy, fashionable outfits. Who would have thought this would happen? It took a long time, but that’s for sure.
So, what are we seeing in the cut of jeans now? We still like cropped briefs, so instead of skinny ankle jeans, we have flared ankle jeans wholesale, almost like stilettos, which can be worn well if they have a sewn-in hem, but if they have a raw hem, they look great with sneakers. We see baggy dad jeans reminiscent of the 90s and longer inseams that bunch up around the sneakers. We still see mommy jeans because they’re not going away, and then we have crossover jeans, as I mentioned before, flared trouser style jeans, and the tapered, paper bag kind. Anything but skinny jeans, and you’re going to be part of the trend. I’ve chosen the 15 most fabulous pairs of pants you can shop below, but what are your thoughts on this trend? Have you put your skinny jeans away yet?
Everyone has their own opinion, but for me, it’s always been skinny jeans. Whenever I see someone wearing baggy jeans, they look unkempt and rarely flattering, regardless of the shape and size of the person wearing them. On the other hand, wholesale jeans look more intelligent and sexier.
